Eintracht Frankfurt to consider move for impressive Valencia star following preliminary discussions

Valencia are under no immediate pressure to sell this summer, as their finances are better than before. However, that’s not to say that they won’t consider offers if they come in. Plenty are expected for Giorgi Mamardashvili following his exploits for Georgia at Euro 2024, while there is also being interest shown in Pepelu.

Pepelu had an excellent first season at Los Che, following his controversial move from bitter rivals Levante last summer. In recent months, he’s been linked with Barcelona, but more concrete interest has come from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Frankfurt are considering a move for Pepelu, having held preliminary discussions with the player’s representatives. Right now, he’s considered as a backup option in case the projected signing of Pascal Groß from Brighton and Hove Albion does not come to fruition.

Losing Pepelu would be a big blow for Valencia, although they would surely demand a sizeable fee from any interested clubs, including Frankfurt. For now, there should not be too much panic around supporters, especially as a sale is not required this summer.
