Real Madrid actively looking to sell defender this summer, final chance before contract expiry

Real Madrid do not intend to entertain offers for any of their core squad members, perhaps aside from Andriy Lunin (who may push to leave this summer). Money will still come in, with youth players being lined up for sales – as is Jesus Vallejo.

Vallejo is off the back on a disappointing loan spell at Granada, and as confirmed by Diario AS, he does not count for Carlo Ancelotti. A sale will be sought during the transfer window, which opens on Monday.

It’s the final time that Real Madrid can cash in on Vallejo, as his contract expires in 2025. He will not be offered a new deal, so he will either depart this summer for some cash, or next summer for nothing.

It’s a sad indictment for Vallejo that he is not counted on by Real Madrid, especially considering that they only have three senior centre-backs going into next season. It remains to be seen whether anyone will buy him.
