Valencia continue to be affected by financial problems, and that means that they will need to be savvy in the transfer market this summer. This approach is already underway, and their second addition – after goalkeeper Stole Dimitriveski – does not appear to be far off.
Los Che have shown strong interest in Alaves forward Luis Rioja in recent weeks, and according to Relevo, a deal could be completed in the next few days. Personal terms have already been sorted, while the two clubs are planning to hold negotiations soon to come to a fee agreement, which is already not far off.
Rioja is preferred to Peter Federico by Valencia’s sporting department, and he has been decided upon as the player to sign in attack. Los Che had the option to sign Federico for a mere €2m, but it’s already been decided that the buy option in their loan agreement with Real Madrid will not be activated before it expires on the 30th of June.
