Newcastle United make Barcelona offer for forward

Barcelona have received a bid from Newcastle United for Ferran Torres, who joined the club two and a half years ago from Manchester City. If Barcelona accept, it will be less than half of what they paid though.

According to Jijantes via MD, Newcastle have made a low-ball offer of €15m, plus €5m in variables for the Valencian forward. Torres originally cost Barcelona €55m from Manchester City, but has struggled to settle in the team since. After a good start initially, Torres struggled in front  of goal in his first full campaign, and this season was impressive when he had chances, but battled injury issues.

He still managed 42 appearances, 11 goals and 4 assists, in spite of missing large chunks of games, and it seems highly unlikely that Barcelona would accept such a low fee for the 24-year-old. Even with their desperation for funds, and bearing in mind they are open to selling Torres for the right offer, it would be a major surprise to see them accept so little, as he prepares for the Euros with Spain.

  1. Oh wow, they put forward 15 mil? Thats 10 more than he is actually worth. Imagine that idiots originally paid 55m for this useless plug.
And nowadays they cant even afford a player if he costs more than 20mil.

Hahaha how the mighty Negreira-ites have fallen, to my great joy.

    PAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🫵🤣

    1. Ferran Torres was never worth 10 m.
I wonder how Barcelona chose him ahead of Luis Diaz, and even paid almost 10 times his original value.
