Real Madrid complete deal to sign Kylian Mbappe ahead of impending announcement

It was already a good weekend for Real Madrid supporters, following the club’s 15th Champions League title victory against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Less than 24 hours later, it’s just got better, with confirmation having come that their deal to sign Kylian Mbappe has been completed.

Fabrizio Romano has broken the news that all of the final details in the deal have been finalised, meaning that agreement can be considered as final.

Last month, Mbappe announced that he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain when his contract runs out at the end of June, and although it has been the worst-kept secret that he will be joining Real Madrid, any revelations have been delayed because of the Champions League final. Now that’s over, everything has been unveiled.

The idea is for Mbappe to be announced as a new Real Madrid player on Monday, while his presentation will take place the week after the conclusion of the European Championship, where Mbappe will be representing France as captain. The saga, after many years, comes to an end.
