Real Madrid have snatched a late 1-0 lead in their UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.

Los Blancos are aiming for a 15th European Cup/Champions League title at Wembley Stadium up against their battling Bundesliga opponents.

However, despite starting the final as strong favourites to win, they struggled for any real momentum in the opening 45 minutes.

Dortmund duo Karim Adeyemi and Niclas Fullkrug both missed key first half chances but Real Madrid have shown signs of improvement after the restart.

Despite not laying siege to the Dortmund goal as epxected, Real Madrid have produced the crucial moment, with 15 minutes to go in London.

Toni Kroos’ near post corner caught out the Dortmund defence and veteran full back Dani Carvajal escaped his marker to glance home a superb header.

Real Madrid will be looking to keep their cool in the closing stages to use their experience to edge over the line and lift the trophy.
