Jude Bellingham pays tribute to family as Real Madrid seal Champions League title

Jude Bellingham thanked his family in an emotional post game interview as Real Madrid clinched the 2024 UEFA Champions League title.

Bellingham has enjoyed a sensational first year in Madrid after being voted as the La Liga player of the season.

The England international netted 19 league goals from midfield as Los Blancos secured the Spanish title.

However, his main focus in recent weeks has been on a first ever European title, to cap off his meteoric rise as a world class star.

With emotions running high at the final whistle, Bellingham shared a personal message to his family members in the crowd, ahead of lifting the trophy in London.

“I have always dreamed of playing in these games. You go through life and there are so many people who say you can’t do things”, as per reports from TNT Sports.

“I was alright until I saw in my mum and dad’s faces. The amount of times in the past, when they could have been at home by 7pm, and they’re doing trips at 11pm or 12pm to take me to football games.

“It shows it can all be worth it.”

Bellingham is expected to return to Madrid with the squad for their celebrations in the Spanish capital tomorrow and he will join up with England for Euro 2024 duty next week.
