The three dangers of Borussia Dortmund that worry Real Madrid ahead of Champions League final

While there will be the natural nerves of any final, few sides will go into a Champions League final with the peace of mind of this Real Madrid side. With 14 trophies behind them, and one as recently as two years ago, Los Blancos are confident of victory, but are paying attention to three key dangers.

That is according to Relevo, who say that one of their biggest concerns with Borussia Dortmund is Karim Adeyemi. The 22-year-old German forward is blessed with lightning pace, and while they have faith in Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy to stop Jadon Sancho in one-on-one battles,  few can keep up with Adeyemi.

One of the other key worries are set pieces. Los Blancos held out under siege of Manchester City corners in the quarter-finals, but did not look too assured, and would concede three days after the second leg from a corner against Barcelona. The return of Thibaut Courtois, who is better in the air, but Borussia Dortmund also grabbed their goal in Paris in the semi-finals from a corner.

Finally, the transitions when Real Madrid lose the ball are the other big concern. Dortmund are unlikely to press high, but, with the likes of Adeyemi, are typically swift on the counter, something that could unsettle the Spanish defence. Los Blancos conceded on the counter against Bayern Munich, but are not used to such efficient counter-attacking play, and in Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, only their city rivals sought to exploit them in that fashion.

  1. However this final may go Im immensly satisfied with this season.

Winning it would be a huge bonus. Zero trophies for cataIani🪳l barceIogo♿️ds and three clasico stompings with two trophies won for us and playing in CL finals, already there is a W – ton of money won for merely being in finals.

If every season was like this Id say yes please anytime.

How are finances going diIdoIona fans? PAHAHAHAHAHAH
