Real Madrid committed to signing top transfer target for less than €40m this summer

Real Madrid are expected to have a busy summer transfer window, with the notable arrivals being Kylian Mbappe and Endrick Felipe. They may not be the only heavyweights to join for next season, as plans are still on to make a concrete move for Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies.

Davies has been Real Madrid’s top left-back target for some time, and with his contract at Bayern running out in the summer of 2025, they anticipate being able to do a cut-price deal in the summer. The Bundesliga giants will sell the 23-year-old if he doesn’t renew in the coming weeks.

As per Relevo, Real Madrid are committed to signing Davies in the summer, but only if they can do so for less than €40m. They are relaxed about the situation, as they do not desperate need to do a deal now because they already have Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia, but their preference is to get Davies in for next season.

Once a fee is agreed, a deal can be pushed through, as Davies has already agreed personal terms with Real Madrid. This is one that is expected to go through over the summer, despite the difference between the two clubs’ valuations at this stage.
