Barcelona had intended on another end of season friendly following their final league match against Sevilla. However it looks as if their plans to do so have been scuppered.

The Blaugrana were looking for another €4-5m friendly in Seoul, South Korea, and had opened talks with a South-Korean promoter to organsie the event. The plan was to play a friendly with FC Seoul on the 30th or 31st of May, but their league commitments on the 28th of May and 3rd of June have made the task difficult. The fact that various players may be on international duty by that point too would have robbed Barcelona of some of their stars as well, reducing the fee they would received. MD say that Barcelona have been forced to scrap their plans.

Earlier in the season Barcelona travelled to Dallas, Texas in order to play a friendly after their final game of 2023, where they played America. Previously they have also had midseason and post-season friendlies with Boca Juniors, Vissel Kobe and an Australian XI.
