Expected XIs Cadiz-Real Madrid: Carlo Ancelotti identifies his Vinicius Junior replacement

Real Madrid head into the final 10 matches of the La Liga season all but out of the title race, but they will still want to hold on to second place ahead of city rivals Atletico Madrid. They will look to do so on Saturday evening as they travel to face Cadiz.

With the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Chelsea on Tuesday, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to make changes with that match in mind, despite a commanding 2-0 lead from the first leg.

Vinicius Junior and Toni Kroos are confirmed to be missing the match, and Sport expect Dani Carvajal, Eduardo Camavinga, David Alaba and Luka Modric to be rested, with Lucas Vazquez, Antonio Rudiger, Nacho Fernandez, Dani Ceballos, Aurelien Tchouameni and Marco Asensio all set to start.

Marca believe that Alaba and Camavinga will retain their places in the starting 11, while both publications expect Rodrygo to take over from Vinicius on the left wing, with Asensio on the right.

Cadiz are off the back on a very impressive 2-0 victory away to Real Betis last weekend, and they will hope to carry on that momentum against Real Madrid. It will be a difficult game for Los Blancos, with the Andalusian side having a strong home record, which has seen them lose just once since September.

Real Madrid will have one eye on Tuesday’s trip to Stamford Bridge, but they could be in for a tough evening against Cadiz, who are fighting for their La Liga lives.
