Real Madrid appear to be pushing a lot of their decisions down the line, and it could lead to a frantic few weeks in the Spanish capital. Los Blancos have 7 players out of contract this summer, and only one is thought to have settled a renewal.
The rest will have their future resolved when Real Madrid’s season is, by all appearances. That will also be the case for on-loan starlet Brahim Diaz. The former Manchester City playmaker is in a tug of war between Milan and Real Madrid, but Fabrizio Romano has revealed on his Substack column that Brahim is likely to be caught between the two for at least a month yet.
“Real Madrid are in talks with Brahim Diaz to offer him a new long term contract, while AC Milan would love to keep him. But decisions will be made in May. I’m not aware of Chelsea interest, they already have many players in that position.”
The comments were made to Caught Offside, where Romano reveals the latest on the transfer market.
The Spanish-Moroccan forward has grown in importance at the Rossoneri, and while Real Madrid will have their own decision to make, the player himself will no doubt want a say too. It looks more likely he would get starting minutes in Italy, but it is not yet clear what kind of role he would play in the Spanish capital.
