After their split last summer, Shakira and Gerard Pique have landed several jabs on each other in the media. The Colombian singer perhaps made the biggest blow in a recent song with rapper Bizzarap, in which she made several references to Pique’s new girlfriend, Clara Chia.
Pique laughed off the lyrics, and used them to troll Shakira on more than one occasion. However, she was returned with another new song, this time with Karol G, in which more digs have been taken at the former Barcelona defender.
The song, named TQG (Te Quedo Grande), has been used by Shakira to again comment on Pique’s relationship with Clara, stating that “her life has got better” since she separated from Pique in June 2022.
“Seeing you with the new girl hurt me, but I’m now set on me.
I’ve forgotten what we lived together, and that’s what you’re offended by.
And even my life got better, you are no longer welcome here.
And what your girlfriend slayed at me, that doesn’t anger me, it makes me laugh.”
It remains to be seen whether Pique responds to his former partner again, but if he does, he will likely look to make light of the situation.
