Barcelona Femeni have secured their second straight title in La Liga Iberdrola with a 5-0 victory over Real Madrid Femenino.
The Catalan side have become the dominant force in European football over the last two seasons and little suggests that they will fade away any time soon, given their domestic dominance.
Numbers aren’t everything, but in this case they do show that Barcelona have annihilated their competition. Winning 24 out of 24 matches, they have scored 136 goals and conceded just 6. An average of 5.67 goals per game.
There are still six games remaining this season and no doubt they will be motivated to extend some of their own records.

The two will face off again in nine days time in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals. Barcelona will likely measure their season based on their European performance, having stormed to the European trophy last year with a 4-0 victory over Chelsea in the final.
