Xavi Hernandez says Ousmane Dembélé could start on Saturday after returning to fitness.

Dembélé missed the first four months of the season after a knee operation, and after briefly returning, he missed another three weeks with a muscular problem.

It has been another difficult season for the Frenchman so far, particularly given the injury issues he has struggled with in the past.

But he is now back in action, coming off the bench during Barca‘s last outing, an away win over Villarreal.

And ahead of Saturday’s clash with Real Betis, Dembélé is ready to start, according to Xavi.

“He is fine, he is 100%,” said the Barca boss in his pre-match press conference.

“Tomorrow we will decide how we want to play. He is fine, happy and training.”

Barca will have the chance to close the gap on Betis – and indeed the European places – with a win on Saturday.

Though, they face a tricky test against a Betis side who have won all of their last four games across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Barca have won their last two La Liga games, also drawing in the Champions League against Benfica.
