Here are your Spanish football morning headlines for November 15.

Spain qualify

La Roja have now officially qualified for the 2022 World Cup after making it back-to-back wins on Sunday night.

Alvaro Morata‘s close-range finish saw off Sweden at La Cartuja, meaning Spain finished top of their group.

Spain now automatically qualify for the World Cup, while Sweden will head into the play-offs.

Luis Enrique talks contract

Spain boss Luis Enrique says it doesn’t matter if he is not tied down to a long-term contract, now fully focused on the World Cup.

He said in his post-match press conference: “It’s not important to have a firm contract. The promise we have between the federation and I exists, and we like it.

“But I’m not worried right now. I’m concentrated on having a good World Cup.”

Portugal stunned

Portugal have missed out on an automatic qualification spot.

The Euro 2020 winners only needed to draw against Serbia in their final game on Sunday, but despite Goncalo Guedes putting them ahead they lost 2-1.

That result meant Serbia leapfrogged them into top spot, and Portugal will now go into the play-offs.
