Real Betis striker Loren Moron – who scored on the opening day of the campaign – is wanted by French club Bordeaux, say reports.
Marca cite a report in France Football that the striker, who netted against Real Valladolid in Sunday’s 2-1 loss, is a target for the Ligue 1 side.
The 25-year-old raised his release clause at Los Verdiblancos from €25m to €40m plus variables after penning a new long-term contract this summer.
However, in his first full season with the first-team squad at the Seville-based club he struggled for a prolonged run of strong form and his future was put in question.
After netting seven league goals in 12 starts in the closing months of the 2017/18 campaign, he managed just six league strikes in 33 appearances last season in La Liga.
Netting a further two in 12 cup competition outings, Moron fell out of favour under previous Betis Coach Quique Setien but he is said to now want to fight for his place in the side under new boss Rubi.
Betis have already shaken up their attack this summer with Juanmi and Borja Iglesias arriving from Real Sociedad and Espanyol respectively, but Sergio Leon was sold to Levante while Jese Rodriguez’s loan spell from Paris Saint-Germain has expired.
