Espanyol are considering a move for Simone Zaza as a replacement for Borja Iglesias.
According to reports in Catalan newspaper Tiempo de Espanyol, David Gallego has drawn up a list of potential new forwards to fill the void left by Iglesias, after he completed his move to Real Betis earlier this week.
The 28-year old Italian international returned to his native country at the start of the 2018-19 season, joining Torino from La Liga side Valencia CF in a €14m deal.
However he is reported to be willing to consider a move back to Spain, should the right option be available in the coming weeks, after enduring a low key first season back in Serie A.
Gallego is reported to only be willing to pay in the region of €10m for the former West Ham striker, as he looks to use the €25m gained from Iglesias' sale to strengthen his squad as a whole.
The former Huesca boss has also highlighted Jaime Mata, Jonathan Calleri, Mariano Diaz and Andre Silva as other options, if Zaza decides to remain in Italy.
