Former Real Madrid start Clarence Seedorf believes Zinedine Zidane needs to inject a hunger back into his squad if they want to return to the top of the domestic and European game.
Zidane knows his side will end the season without silverware, and he has indicated that plans and transfer targets are already being discussed for 2019-20, with five games remaining.
"It is understandable that the club would reappoint Zidane, the former Dutch international told the Daily Mail
"This season will be difficult, but it is important that you focus on mental preparation and create a hunger for the challenge ahead."
Seedorf also stated that the club cannot just focus on winning the Champions League next season, but on performances and playing style and he is confident that Zidane can deliver.
"He has a great understanding of the players, the game and everything around the game.
"Managing other aspects of the club will be challenge, but he is very experienced."
