Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez has agreed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich according to a report in RMC Sport.
French journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi claims the player has agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga leaders, although they have yet to activate his €80m release clause at Atleti.
In January, L’Equipe said the versatile defender would remain at Los Rojiblancos for the remainder of the campaign after Marca had reported last month he would join Bayern midway through the season.
The 23-year-old only signed a new long-term contract with Los Colchoneros in June last year but had reportedly been swayed by the project on offer in Bavaria.
Lucas broke through for Atleti during the 2015-16 campaign and has gone on to make 110 appearances under Diego Simeone, winning a Europa League and European Super Cup.
Equally adept at left-back and centre-back, he was also part of the France team who won the World Cup in Russia last year.
Bayern, for their part, have plans of overhauling their first team after a mixed campaign and a recognition that they need to reinvent their squad.
