Real Madrid's director of institutional relations Emilio Butragueno has refused to discuss the future of the club’s under-fire Coach Santiago Solari.
The former Madrid striker blanked questions of whether the Argentine – who was appointed on a two-and-a-half year deal in November – would be in charge for the weekend game against Alaves.
Butragueno was speaking following Madrid’s 4-1 victory at Real Valladolid on Sunday, which ended a run of three straight defeats.
“He is a great professional so we will see, but I am here to talk about this game,” Butragueno told Movistar.
When he was pressed into explaining further, the director added: “I am only talking about this game.”
