Telemadrid: Marcelo holds meeting with Real Madrid to discuss exit

Brazilian defender Marcelo is edging closer to a Real Madrid exit, and a reunion with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, according to reports in Diario AS.

The newspaper quotes Spanish television station Telemadrid, which states that the left back has had two meetings with the club's hierarchy to discuss his departure this summer.

Marcelo was linked with a move to Italy during the January transfer window, after losing his place in Santiago Solari's starting line up to Sergio Reguilon, however nothing materialised.

The 30 year-old appeared to quash rumours of his desire to leave at the start of the season, however the situation now looks to have changed with Solari placing his faith in other players.

Marcelo confirmed in an interview with Esporte Interativo last week that if he was no longer wanted by the club then he would leave – however the club are yet to state their future plans for the experienced defender.
