Bayern Munich are not the only club to hold an interest in signing Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez this year, say Onda Cero.
The versatile defender was reported by Marca in December as having agreed to join Bayern in January although such a move never materialised.
The 22-year-old only signed a new long-term contract with Los Colchoneros in June but had reportedly been swayed by the project on offer in Bavaria.
The defender is said to hold an €80m release clause at the Wanda Metropolitano and this is said to be monitoring a ‘number of top European clubs’.
Lucas broke through for Atleti during the 2015-16 campaign and has gone on to make 108 appearances under Diego Simeone, winning a Europa League and European Super Cup.
Equally adept at left-back and centre-back, he was also part of the France team who won the World Cup in Russia last year.
Bayern, for their part, have plans of overhauling their first team after a poor start to the season and their lack of impact in the Champions League.
