Valencia have confirmed the arrival of striker Ruben Sobrino, in a €5m deadline day move from Alaves.
The 26 year-old signed a deal with Marcelino's side until June 2022, as Valencia successfully brought to an end a month long pursuit of the former Manchester City attacker.
Whilst he has not been prolific for Alaves this season, with just three La Liga goals, he has been brought in to the club to provide back up to Rodrigo Moreno and Santi Mina.
Sobrino's arrival was followed by the news that Valencia had also offloaded loan striker Michy Batshuayi, after a nightmare spell at the Mestalla for the Chelsea forward.
The Belgian international had originally signed on a season long loan with the club, at the start of the campaign, however Marcelino had opted to cut short the deal at the start of 2019.
But due to the terms of the deal, he was due to return to Spain if no alternative could be sought before the closing of the transfer window, and the striker secured an eleventh hour move to Premier League side Crystal Palace.
