Monaco have claimed that Chelsea are blocking striker Michy Batshuayi’s loan exit from Valencia despite an agreement from all parties.
The Belgian international has reportedly agreed terms with the Ligue 1 club with Los Che willing to cut short his season-long loan spell, but the FA Cup holders are holding up a move.
Batshuayi netted just one goal in four La Liga starts at the Mestalla in a frustrating season for the striker, who failed to settle in Spain.
Monaco's vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has told reporters: “There is full agreement with Batshuayi, with Valencia, but Chelsea are blocking the transfer.
“They only want a permanent sale for the striker, we want a loan, lets see what happens.”
Valencia sporting director Mateu Alemany told a press conference last week, in relation to the striker’s exit: “The player knows this and we hope that soon it can be solved for the good of all the parties.”
The 25-year-old former Marseille forward has 12 goals in 23 senior caps for his country but has struggled to replicate that form at club level.
Valencia boss Marcelino said last week: “We need signings up front and in some cases our patience has run out.”
