Real Betis have not totally disregarded the option of signing Manchester City’s Oleksander Zinchenko on transfer deadline day.
Zinchenko would add competition to the left wing-back slot for Betis with Junior Firpo the only candidate following Riza Durmisi’s summer exit to Lazio.
The Ukranian has not been included in a City matchday squad this season but they are thought to want a permanent sale in the region of €16m.
Sevilla Info report the versatile player would add great competition to the Seville-based club’s squad but they are unwilling to pay such a large transfer fee, and would prefer a loan deal.
Furthermore, despite Europa League participation it is thought that Quique Setien does not want a large squad, which may rule out any last-minute move.
Betis have struck a season-long loan arrangement for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
