Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement in principle to sign Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer but now are waiting on confirmation from the player.
Diario Sport say the Bundesliga club have agreed to loan the striker in a €2.5m agreement for the season, with an option to sign him permanently for €25m next summer.
Alcacer was left out of Barca’s matchday squad for the games with Alaves and Real Valldolid while he has also been linked with a move to FC Porto and Real Betis.
The 24-year-old joined the Catalan giants on a five-year contract from Valencia in 2016 in a €30m deal but has struggled for game time since, scoring 15 times in 50 appearances.
The striker, who has netted six goals in 13 caps for his nation, has also been linked with Valencia and Watford this summer, and looks certain to exit the Camp Nou before the transfer window closes for Spanish clubs on 31 August.
Dortmund are eager to finalise a deal soon but if the player does not give his word they will turn their attention to Frenchman Anthony Modeste, says the report.
