Real Betis Coach Quique Setien has stated Barcelona’s Rafinha Alcantara is a ‘great player’ and he would welcome his arrival.
The Brazil midfielder spent the season half of last season on loan at Inter – who have once again been linked with him – while he had been involved in Barca’s pre-season.
Betis, who have also been linked with moves for Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko, were said to be in talks for a loan deal for the midfielder but no agreement has been reached.
“Obviously Rafinha is a great player who could give us a lot,” Setien told local media, as cited by Sevilla Info.
“He understands perfectly our style of play and what we do. He is a player of a top level, with an extraordinary quality that would add a lot to us.
“It is true that there are also players in the squad that also have a lot of quality but I always want players to join us who going to contribute things and they will be welcome.
“Zinchenko? He is another very good footballer, but like a number of others names there are a lot of factors involved in any deal.”
