Sevilla defender and vice-captain Nico Pareja is set to join Mexican club Atlas according to reports cited in Diario AS.
The Madrid-based daily follows up on a report in Univisión which claims the experienced defender has no part in Pablo Machin’s plans and will be allowed to rescind his contract.
The 34-year-old joined Los Rojiblancos from Spartak Moscow in 2013 and helped the club to three successive Europa League titles.
The Argentinian was the longest serving player in the squad and made 115 appearances for the club.
