Girona have completed the season-long loan signing of Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts, it has been confirmed.
The 21-year-old, who has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons on loan at Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic, has been immediately incorporated into the Catalan side’s first-team squad.
The England youth international was signed by City from Fulham in 2015 for a £12m deal but has featured in just three matches for the club.
“The 21-year-old's move to Girona will see him test himself in LaLiga, one of the world's most technical leagues, which the club feels is the ideal next stage in his development,” read a City statement.
“Everyone at City wishes Patrick all the best during his time in Girona.”
The winger scored 17 goals in his first 60 appearances for the Glasgow club but last year made only seven league starts and scored just one goal.
He joins Aleix Garcia in making the switch from City to Girona this season.
