Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo is confident his team will be celebrating more silverware in May following their European Super Cup triumph.
Diego Simeone’s side banked the trophy with a 4-2 win over Real Madrid following last season’s Europa League title but now the club president is eyeing the Champions League and La Liga crowns.
“We are going to give a break to Neptune for the moment,” Cerezo joked on Cadena Cope, in reference to the area of Madrid where Atleti fans and players traditionally celebrate titles.
“We hope to return there in May at least once, we all have a feeling of positivity at the moment.
“I have always said that we have a great team and they were tremendous against Madrid, it was a great performance in a classic match.”
