Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard looks set for another loan move away with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem leading the chase, say Diario Sport.
The 19-year-old made 43 appearances across two seasons at Dutch club Heerenveen but has since returned to Madrid, with the expectation that he will once more be farmed out.
Odegaard, who joined Madrid from Stromsgodset in 2014, has started just one Copa del Rey match for Los Blancos and despite featuring in pre-season, is unlikely to continue.
In May, the Norwegian told media outlet NTB, as cited by Diario AS: “A loan to a Spanish club would be a good option for me.
“It is important for me to find the right environment of a club, where I can play but as yet there have been no decisions, but I will not return to the Netherlands.
“If there is no move, I will train with Madrid in pre-season and try to show what I can do.”
Reports say Madrid president Florentino Perez sees the Scandinavian’s long-term future at the Bernabeu, so no purchase option will be included in any loan move.
