Sevilla and Villarreal are negotiating the transfer of midfielder Samu Castillejo, who is valued at €20m, say reports in the Spanish press.
The 23-year-old has been identified as a replacement for Joaquin Correa, who joined Lazio in an €18m deal earlier this summer, at the Andalusian club.
Los Rojiblancos rate the ‘creativity and spark’ of the midfielder, who joined the Yellow Submarine from Malaga in 2015 and has made 127 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.
Castillejo represented Spain in last season’s European Under-21 Championships and reports suggest both clubs are close to finding an agreement on his transfer.
