Milan striker Nikola Kalinic arrived in Madrid on Tuesday morning to complete a €15m move to Atletico Madrid, say Diario AS.
The Croatian striker joined the Rossoneri from Fiorentina last summer in a deal worth a reported €29m but managed just six goals in 31 Serie A appearances.
Last month, the 30-year-old’s agent Tomislav Erceg told Estadio Deportivo: “Kalinic is aware of the interest of several teams.
“But he has to wait and see what Milan decides…Atletico are interested, we cannot hide that fact, but Sevilla are too, there are several options open, but it depends on Milan's management.
“Nikola knows how competitive Atletico are, with a great Coach like Simeone at the helm, but right now it is not in our hands to decide, once Milan express their decision, we will evaluate it.”
Kalinic, who scored 32 goals in 68 appearances for the Viola, was also wanted by Sevilla this summer but it appears he has chosen to join Atleti.
He was sent home early from Croatia's World Cup campaign for allegedly not being prepared to come from the substitutes bench during a group stage match.
