Madrid unhappy at Ramos extension

A report in Marca claims not everyone at Real Madrid is happy with captain Sergio Ramos’s extended summer break.

Los Blancos allowed Ramos extra days off over the summer for the second successive year, a decision not all at the Santiago Bernabeu are comfortable with.

The Spain international had the club’s permission to return to training on August 1, the day after the International Champions Cup game against Manchester United in the United States, but his preferential treatment appears not to have gone down too well in some quarters within the Santiago Bernabeu.

The likes of Isco, Marco Asensio and Nacho returned from their holidays on July 25 and 26, while Dani Carvajal joined up with the squad three days later.

Despite not all being happy about the situation, the club know Ramos commands total respect in the dressing room and will now focus on getting fit for the start of the La Liga season.
