Fulham have upped their offer for Espanyol midfielder David Lopez to €20m, according to reports in the Spanish sporting press.
A report in El Mundo Deportivo states the West London club, newly promoted to the English Premier League, have increased their original bid of €15m.
The midfielder’s release clause at the RCDE Stadium stands at €40m but it is thought the Catalan club will sanction an exit for around half that amount.
The 28-year-old spent two seasons at Napoli before returning to Espanyol in 2016 while he is also thought to be wanted by Real Betis.
Fulham reportedly want to confirm the deal before their tour of the United States, which commences on Monday.
