Celta Vigo are in advanced talks to sign Corinthians defender and Paraguay international Fabian Balbuena, according to reports.
A report in Globo Esporte confirm discussions ‘are at a very advanced stage’ with an agreement of €4m reached between the clubs.
The 26-year-old has won six international caps for his nation and has amassed 116 appearances for Corinthians since joining from Libertad in 2016, since being instilled as captain at the Brazilian club.
Balbuena would become the first signing of new Celta Coach Antonio Mohamed, who replaced the outgoing Juan Carlos Unzue at the Galician club.
