Barcelona will look to replace outgoing captain Andres Iniesta with Lazio midfielder and Spain international Luis Alberto, say reports.
Tuttomercatoweb report that the Catalan giants are eyeing up a move and view the former Liverpool player as an ideal replacement for Iniesta.
A report in Gazzetta dello Sport last week stated Barca sent scouts to watch the Spaniard in last week’s goalless Derby della Capitale draw against Roma.
Iniesta, 33, is said to be leaving the Camp Nou for the Chinese Super League this summer, with the Blaugrana keen to identify a replacement.
Alberto, who has 10 goals and 16 assists this season, netted 11 times in 38 appearances for Barca’s B team whilst on loan from Sevilla back in the 2012-13 season.
A report in Diario AS earlier this month suggested Alberto could be the 'surprise inclusion' in Spain's World Cup squad.
