Las Palmas Coach Paco Jemez has ruled out signing Samir Nasri or any free agent to replace Jonathan Viera in their squad.
Los Amarillos have been granted permission by both La Liga and the Spanish FA to sign a free agent outside the transfer window following Viera’s departure to Beijing Guoan.
French midfielder Nasri spent last season on loan at Sevilla from Manchester City but spent the first half of this season at Turkish club Antalyaspor before leaving in January.
“This issue is now closed,” Jemez told reporters when quizzed about a new signing.”
“In our squad we already have many potential alternatives to replace Jonathan, and my plan has always been to bring one in for his place.
“It is important we evaluate the value of the players already at the club as everybody here has their worth and another teammate will replace him.”
