Las Palmas are working on a deal to sign former Sevilla playmaker Samir Nasri on a free transfer, according to reports in Spain.
Los Amarillos have been granted permission by both La Liga and the Spanish FA to sign a free agent outside the transfer window following Jonathan Viera’s departure to Beijing Guoan.
The Frenchman spent last season on loan at Los Rojiblancos from Manchester City but spent the first half of this season at Turkish club Antalyaspor before leaving in January.
The 30-year-old is similar in playing style to Viera and possesses plenty of experience having spent seven seasons in England’s Premier League with Arsenal and then latterly City.
A number of Spanish outlets are now stating a deal is close.
