Sevilla Coach Vincenzo Montella has named his starting XI to face Leganes in the Copa del Rey semi-final, but forgot one player.
The Italian will hope to lead his side to the competition’s final, with the score currently locked at 1-1 after the first leg but forgot to name winger Franco Vazquez when rhyming off his side.
“I will try this starting line-up, which you guys call a ‘formation’, correct?” Montella asked of Spanish reporters.
“Sergio Rico, Navas, Mercado, Lenglet, Escudero, N’Zonzi, Banega, Sarabia, Correa and Muriel…”
“Oh, that’s one short! And Vazquez too, sometimes we train with one player fewer…sometimes, but not in a match!”
Sevilla are aiming to reach their second final in three seasons, while Leganes had previously never advanced beyond the last 16 phase of the competition.
