Spain international Luis Alberto has extended his contract at Italian club Lazio until June 2022, it has been confirmed.
The 25-year-old has been in top form for the Rome-based club this season, netting seven goals in 22 Serie A starts for Simone Inzaghi’s side.
Reports in Spain before the New Year had linked the in-form winger to La Liga leaders Barcelona, who were said to have scouted him extensively this campaign.
Alberto joined Lazio from the English club in a €4m deal in 2016 and won his first international cap for Spain in November.
