La Liga president Javier Tebas would like to see former Barcelona forward Neymar return to the league in the future.
The chief of the Spanish top flight insisted he always wants the division to attract ‘the world’s best players’ with the Brazilian, currently at Paris Saint-Germain, linked with a future move to Real Madrid.
“If Neymar was to return to La Liga it would be important of course,” Tebas told Cadena Ser on Monday.
“This is a league for the best players, but I do not know where he could go, although it would be fantastic for him to return here and these sorts of players are vital to the league.
“His departure has not affected La Liga and we have the stats and facts to prove that but we will always try to attract the world’s best players.
“It is the same with Coaches – I would love to see Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho back in Spain, that would be fantastic.
“However, we have continued to grow and improve since they have left, and it is the same with any player.”
