Getafe will move to sign Real Madrid understudy goalkeeper Kiko Casilla should Vicente Guaita leave the club this month, say reports.
The 31-year-old was signed from Espanyol in 2015 and has been understudy to first-choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas since, making 22 starts in La Liga.
The Spanish and European champions are reportedly close to a deal for Athletic Bilbao shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga but it is still unclear if that move will go through in January or in summer.
Diario AS report Casilla is now the number one target for Getafe should former Valencia goalkeeper Guaita leave the club this month.
Getafe’s other two goalkeepers – Emiliano Martinez, on loan from Arsenal, and Filip Manojlovic – are not believed to be long-term alternatives for the number one slot.
