Jose Mourinho is confident Valencia loanee Andreas Pereira can become ‘one of the future greats’ of Manchester United.
The Portuguese boss is said to have been reluctant to sanction the Brazilian playmaker’s loan move to the Mestalla at the end of the transfer window.
Having enjoyed a season-long loan at Granada last season, the 21-year-old joined Los Che on a season-long loan move but signed a one-year contract extension, until 2019, at Old Trafford.
“Andreas is already a very good footballer,” Mourinho told the official Manchester United website.
“He is a young player with great natural ability and a good attitude towards continuing his development.
“I have no doubt that he has the potential to be one of the future great players of this club.”
