Sevilla are set to complete the signing of Sporting CP left-back Marvin Zeegelaar in a €3m deal, according to reports in Spain.
El Desmarque lead on reports the 27-year-old Dutchman is set to move to the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan to provide competition to Sergio Escudero.
The move comes about after Jordan Amavi failed a medical at Los Rojiblancos earlier this summer while other full-backs were ruled out in their attempts to replace Benoit Tremoulinas.
The Sporting full-back, who can also play further forward on the wing, was left out of their Champions League squad for their qualification match against Basel this week as a move inches closer.
Zeegelaar – formerly of Ajax, Blackpool and Rio Ave – has not yet been capped by The Netherlands but has been called up to provisional squads this season and represented Os Leoes 27 times last season, including five times in the Champion League.
