Villarreal have completed the signing of Milan striker Carlos Bacca on a reported season-long loan deal with an option to buy.
The structure of the deal for the Colombian international is said to be a year-long loan worth €2.5m up front with the option to make the move permanent in 2018 for a further €15.5m.
Sevilla had also been keen on a return for striker, who turns 31 next month, but the Yellow Submarine moved ahead in the deal following the departure of Roberto Soldado to Fenerbahce.
Bacca netted 49 goals in 108 appearances for Sevilla in his first spell between 2013 and 2015, winning back-to-back Europa League titles.
He is set to partner Cedric Bakambu up front for Villarreal next season, with Enes Unal – signed from Manchester City – and Roberto Soriano also available.
