Sevilla are disappointed with the prolonged negotiations for Jesus Navas and Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer, but remain intent on signing both, say reports.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Los Rojiblancos had hoped to tie up deals for the out-of-contract winger and the Denmark international this week but this has not been the case.
The Andalucians made an offer to Bahia – the agency representing Navas – on Monday but are yet to hear back regarding this and he will now definitely miss the club’s tour to England.
There are concerns the 31-year-old may not be in favour of the offer which will see his wages reduced from his time at City, especially with interest from Lazio and Roma.
The Kjaer situation is reportedly different – the Dane was excluded from Fener’s Europa League tie this week and shares an agent with Sebastien Corchia – who joined Sevilla from Lille earlier this summer.
Sevilla are confident they will sign the 28-year-old next week with a deal in the region of €10m mentioned, although again they are disappointed this has not been concluded quicker.
