Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer is edging closer to a move to Sevilla after being left out of the Turkish club’s Europa League qualification match.
ABC de Sevilla say Los Rojiblancos have upped their bid for the Denmark international to €8m plus midfielder Walter Montoya, who has only started once for the club since a January move from Rosario.
Kjaer has now been left out of the Turkish club’s Europa League qualification match against Austrian side Sturm Graz on Thursday to indicate he could be on his way to the Sanchez Pizjuan this summer.
The 28-year-old has amassed 88 appearances in two seasons in Istanbul having previously enjoyed spells at Palermo, Wolfsburg, Roma and Lille.
His perceived leadership skills and physical presence are said to be what is attracting the Andalucian club to his availability.
