Sevilla have approached Turkish giants Fenerbahce to enquire of central defender Simon Kjaer’s availability, say reports in Spain.
According to El Desmarque, the Denmark international is now among the leading candidates to replace Adil Rami – who joined Marseille this month – at Los Rojiblancos.
The 28-year-old has amassed 88 appearances in two seasons in Istanbul having previously enjoyed spells at Palermo, Wolfsburg, Roma and Lille.
His perceived leadership skills and physical presence are said to be what is attracting the Andalucian club to his availability.
